China collection now online!

A few very productive and fun weeks around the farflung parts of China back in August yielded quite a few new images for my online library of Asia travel images at www.indochinaimages.com

Here’s a selection from the 100s of new photos. The locations include Kashgar, Turpan, Xiahe, Dali and more.

China holds a special allure and feel for me, having been one of those ‘masochists’ known as Sinologists some years ago. I studied Asian and Chinese studies in Australia, before spending a big chunk of my life living in Shanghai, where I attended university so as to get a handle on that most enthralling of languages – Mandarin. So travelling throughout China this year was a chance to get back in touch with my Chinese roots ;-) , as well as enjoy travelling in a country where the language is not a barrier, but instead a conduit to understanding and achieving. As the photos show, I was having a ball, and hope to spend more and more time there in future.

Kashgar, Xinjiang, China
